The person must first register as a taxpayer on the portal and can apply for a tax residency certificate after the required 183 days have passed.
- Persons with significant assets can also obtain tax residency in Georgia. To do so, their confirmed assets must amount to more than 3 million Gel or they must have had an annual income of more than 200,000 Gel in the 3 years prior to the application.
- In the first case, a number of conditions must be met in order to obtain tax residency. The person must own property worth at least USD 500,000 in Georgia and prove this with appropriate documents. In addition, documents must be submitted proving that the value of the property is over 3 million. Furthermore, an income from a Georgian source of at least 25,000 Gel in the last tax year is required. Finally, the person must have a Georgian residence permit, a residence card citizen ID.
