Rules are changing for travelling in Europe. Visa-exempt nationals, including Georgian citizens will be required to fill ETIAS form in advance to get travel authorization. It is important to note that the travel authorization does not guarantee entry to the desired country, and travelers are still required to provide all necessary documentation for border entry to respective border officer.
What information is requested?
Application to be filled with following details:
- Personal information: name, surname, date and place of birth, nationality, home address, parents’ first names, email address and phone number;
- Passport details;
- Level of education and current occupation;
- Information about planned travel;
- Any criminal convictions, any past travels to war or conflict zones, if you had a case when been requested to leave the territory of any country.
Can a joint application be made?
Each traveler has to fill the form individually, including for minor children a separate form is required.
When an application should be made?
It is recommended to make the application before making any travel expense such as flight or hotel. Most of the applications will get automatic response within few minutes, process may take up to 96 hours at the max. In case it goes to a manual processing, may take up to 30 days.
In what language is application available?
The application form is available in all 24 official EU languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish. However, the application to be filled only using the Latin alphabet.
How will the application response be received?
By email you provided in the application. Please also be attentive regarding spam folder. It is important to maintain access to it afterwards as well.
How much does the application cost?
Application fee is 7 EUR, to be paid via bank card. Applicants under age 18 and above age 70 are exempt from the payment.
How long is the authorization valid?
Once the application is approved, the travel authorization is valid for maximum 3 years, for less in case traveler's passport expires before.
What happens if the application is refused?
In this case the applicant can not travel and has right to appeal the decision.
Can the application be made by a third party?
Yes, an applicant may use a third party's assistance to get the application made on his behalf that has to be proven with signed a declaration of representation.
